University President Inaugurates the Saudi International Dental Conference on Behalf of the Governor of Jeddah
Under the patronage of His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi, Governor of Jeddah, Dr. Tareef bin Youssef Alaama, President of King Abdulaziz University, inaugurated the Saudi International Dental Conference (SIDC JEDDAH 2025) and its accompanying exhibition.
The event was attended by Prof. Abdulghani bin Ibrahim Mira, Conference Chair and Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at King Abdulaziz University; Dr. Ziyad bin Hamoud Allahem, President of the Saudi Dental Society; Mr. Meraee AL-Qahtani, Deputy Minister of Health for Localization and Human Capital; and Prof. Amin bin Youssef Noaman, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.
Held from 27 to 29 November 2025, SIDC 2025 featured a robust scientific program that included 3 specialized symposia, 20 hands-on workshops, and a 1,500 m² exhibition, with participation from 13 academic partners representing dental schools across the Kingdom. Notably, 25 speakers from King Abdulaziz University’s Faculty of Dentistry took part in the conference.
Recognized as a national and international platform, SIDC 2025 brought together 120 experts and 32 international speakers to exchange knowledge and foster innovation in dentistry, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
Researchers from King Abdulaziz University’s Faculty of Dentistry contributed significantly by presenting 20 scientific research papers during the event.
On the sidelines of the conference, the Committee of Deans of Dental Faculties in Saudi Arabia held its regular meeting, alongside the General Assembly of the Saudi Society of Oral Medicine, to discuss strategies for improving the quality of dental education and promoting knowledge exchange.
It is worth noting that the Faculty of Dentistry at King Abdulaziz University served as a strategic partner in organizing the Saudi International Dental Conference (SIDC 2025) in collaboration with the Saudi Dental Society. The event was hosted at the Jeddah Hilton Hotel and attended by a distinguished group of local and international dental experts.
